Home Hunts are an award-winning buyer’s agent, we specialise in helping international clients to search the French property market to find their dream home.
The company was established on the French Riviera in 2005 by Francois-Xavier de Vial and Tim Swannie, we have since grown to cover most of the prime property markets in France – French Riviera, Provence, Occitanie, Nouvelle Aquitaine, Paris and the French Alps. As well as French property, we also cover Geneva and some of the most sought after resorts in the Swiss Alps, as well as Monaco.
We focus on the luxury end of the market and our mission is to help to guide our clients through the entire buying process, from the initial search, visits, offers, purchase, completion, renovation and much more. Our team all live in France and are experts in their local market, the entire team speak a minimum of English and French, between us we speak more than 20 languages.
We work with all of the best immobiliers, we also work with many private owners, developers and lawyers etc which means we can search the entire property market for our clients to really find the very best deals, both on and off-market. As a buyer’s agent, we listen to our clients needs and focus on the most important ‘must haves’ and ‘must not haves’ to make sure we are finding the most suitable homes to fit their requirements. We work closely with our clients, always offering unbiased advice and up to date information, pointing out the good and the bad points on all properties.
We accompany our clients to all visits, we can help with travel arrangements, collect you from the airport or your hotel and take you to each property, sharing our knowledge of the area and the market with you. Once we have found the perfect home, we are there to advise on the next steps, from negotiating the best deal all the way through the completion and beyond. It is our job to find the best property, at the best price, under the best conditions for our clients.

As well as the French property search, we also work with a hand-picked network of specialists to assist our clients, from currency exchange and mortgage advice to tax specialists, lawyers and notaires, architects, builders, landscape gardeners and so on. The Home Hunts team are not pushy, we will always act in your best interest and will only recommend the best people to help, if you need them. We are also very happy to work with your team if you already have your own specialists to help.
