The imposing bell tower which adjoins the property is a remnant of the Augustinian church and convent which were partially destroyed during the French Revolution.

A total renovation of the property was undertaken in 2012/2013 under the leadership of the architect of the Buildings of France, combining the spirit of the times, contemporary comfort and ecological features.
